Services offered at Parkview Meadows:

Crafts Room

The Craft Room has a counter top and supply cabinets, stove and fridge and is often used for meetings and family get-togethers with a donation to Parkview Meadows for rental.

Games Room

This newly renovated space has a variety of games available such as puzzles, board games, cards, darts, crokinole and a pool table.

Greenhouse Horicultural Therapy

Parkview Meadows greenhouse was a recent addition to our community. We received funding through a grant given by the government. We were able to pay for the remainder with funds raised by our fundraising events. It focuses on providing a serene place to sit and enjoy the colours and beauty of the flowers and plants. It is run by a Committee which strives to provide a sanctuary for those visiting. We hold an Annual BBQ, Bake and Plant Sale on Saturday of Mothers Day weekend. Annual, perennials, and succulents are available for purchase throughout the year.

Laundry

Coin operated laundry facilities are available in the Brookview and Valleyview residences. Laundry for Southview residents is included in their monthly fee. Brookview residents may, at their own cost, equip their apartments with washer/dryers.

Library

Parkview Centre has a large library with books, magazines and games for all residents. We also have a large assortment of Dutch and Friesen literature. DVD movies are also available.

Private Guest Room

Parkview Meadows has two large, private guest rooms available. One is located on 2nd floor in Brookview and the other on the 2nd floor in Gardenview. Cost is $50 per night. Check in time is 4:00 pm and Check out is 12:00 noon.

Recreational Activities

Activities are arranged by the Activities Coordinator for all residents of Parkview Meadows. Among the activities are: movies, musical presentations, bowling, bingo, exercise, crafts and a Bible study, monthly outings, birthday parties and gardening.

Transportation

Transportation is provided every Monday for shopping to Walmart, Food Basics and Giant Tiger Plaza in Simcoe. Bus leaves at 1:00 pm and returns by 3:30 pm.

Tuck Shop

Parkview Meadows Tuck Shop is open week days from 10:30 – 1:00 p.m. The Tuck Shop is staffed by volunteers and offers basic necessities, meal options for staff and residents and all profits are used to purchase items which benefit all residents.

Workshops

Brookview and Valleyview each have a workshop available to the residents with shop equipment mostly owned by residents for crafts, woodworking, etc.

Worship Services

A worship service is held every Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in the Parkview Centre Craft Room. Services are arranged by the Haldimand County Ministerial Association and conducted by a community Pastor. Transportation is provided to the Jarvis Christian Reformed Church for residents to attend their Sunday morning services for a small donation.
