We have a new logo, a new emblem for Parkview Meadows. How appropriate to start a new decade with a new Parkview Meadows mark! Allow me to commend on its ellipsoidal design, which I believe speaks volumes for itself. (Had it been circular fashion, it may have been interpretated as a sign of exactness and flawlessness; circles are enclosed, and we don’t want that symbol to be associated with Parkview Meadows. Had the emblem been made with the deliberate lines of a square or rectangle, someone could interpret our village as being a four-sided, “enclosed” community.) No, our new symbol is of an oblong contour, and I personally interpret this as a sign of being all inclusive, all embracing! It’s broad, wide-ranging and looks warm, inviting!
Secondly, I like the color scheme of white and a forest green. White stands for cleanliness; and let that be a high priority, wherever we live. The forest-green color can be interpreted as evergreen trees; and us being…. ever green! We know we will never truly grow old if we don’t let our hearts grow old.
The lettering of Parkview Meadows is stylish and well-designed (oh yes, we live in the country and in the meadows alright!) Now notice how the letter P of Parkview and the lower-case letter k in that same word are entwined. Let it be known that we, village-dwellers. are intertwined, caring, considerate community who work together! Also, notice the two strong autumn leaves attached to the letter k. Many of us are in the Fall-season of our lives, and many of us are still vibrant and strong, full of color! The lowest part of the logo illustrates buildings, and roof-tops joined together on which are engraved the letters: “Christian Retirement Village.” Here’s the key! Here’s our basis! We are not just a village; we are a Christian village! We follow the teachings of Christ, the One who came to serve; and because of Him, we may serve one another. Above all, let it be known, far and wide, that the love of Christ truly lives in our Retirement Village! Scripture says it so clearly: “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God: and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. ” (1 John 4:7)
