Southview is a single-story dwelling originally completed in 1991 and expanded from 38 to 75 full service, assisted living suites on February 1, 2019. Each apartment is equipped with spacious wheelchair accessible bathrooms and a combination bedroom/sitting room. Southview residents benefit from around the clock supervision from trained staff.
What is the monthly rate?
monthly rent includes 24-hour supervision, medication monitoring, meals, laundry, housekeeping and recreational activities and trips with our 20-seater wheelchair accessible bus.

Who are Southview’s rental units for?
Southview units are ideal for individuals who are no longer able to live independently or who need additional care and attention.
What additional services are available to the residents?
Hair Salon is open every week, Tuesday to Friday, except holidays. Appointments are required with Catherine at Ext 406. Fees are set by the Hair Stylist.
Foot Care is provided every 8 weeks at the expense of the resident. Please book with the Southview Nursing Station. Current prices are available upon request. Grand River Foot Care provides these services and can manage many ailments (ingrown nails, callus, corns, fungal nails, and Diabetic Foot Care)
Hearing Clinics are provided on site every month by Connect Hearing. These are free clinics to the residents of the home. They include hearing tests annually, cleaning, maintenance and repairs.
Dental Hygiene is provided to the home at the expense of the resident every 12 weeks. Our Dental Hygienist, Rose of StartFresh will provide in depth cleaning and examinations. Fees are generally more reasonable compared to local clinics. Please book with Michael at Ext 419.
Optometry Clinics is a new option to the home. Viewpoint Vision Care provides us with Annual vision checks, new glasses, lens and repairs. Fees are covered by OHIP plus a small additional mobile fee of $40 for the convenience of being provided on site.
