Parkview's Optometry Vision Care Offering

Please allow me to introduce Viewpoint Vision Care. At Viewpoint we specialize in providing mobile eye care services to long-term care and retirement communities. With our portable eye care technology, we will quickly and seamlessly set up in the comfort of your long-term care residence, where we will provide comprehensive eye examinations and prescription glasses.

The agile approach to our services eliminates the mental and financial strain often accompanied with trying to co-ordinate transportation to and from medical appointments, but it does not affect the quality, we provide a wide variety of frame and lens options that can be direct billed to all major insurance companies, ODSP, NIHB as well as on-site payment options.

Additionally, Viewpoint Vision Care has partnered with Vision Loss Rehabilitation Ontario to conduct low vision assessments and dispense low vision aids. Our certified low vision specialists are qualified to offer up to 75% off the original low vision aid pricing. Vision Loss Rehabilitation Ontario can create a custom program for the resident to assist in their day-to-day visual needs in both the long-term care residence and in their rooms – this could be as simple as providing tools and advice on how to fill a cup with hot water for a morning tea.

We are proud to announce our partnership with Parkview Meadows to provide mobile eye care clinics for residents. All residents 65+ will be eligible for our comprehensive 10 step eye examination covered by OHIP. In addition, we will have 300 frame options available, our Optician will assist with frame and lens consultations as well as fitting and measurements, all glasses will be delivered upon completion, for our mobile services we ask only $40 from OHIP eligible attending residents.
